Hi, Emma! (While this is automatically generated message it's the only place where I can reply anything)
Decided to post here as now that this is in working order might as well start using it over Facebook and hopefully other people will transfer to here as well! I am sure you do have some plans for this already but I am going to throw this in regardless. Potentially creating some discussion and getting people in to check and feel how this works out.
I was wondering that if you'd be able to make a section to the forums for introduction (applications) and such where people would be able to post small things about their character or just say hi to others. As well potentially open up a new section called "General" where everyone would be allowed to create new threads and have a general chat. As the "News" section is limited to only for those who you have given a permission to use it, which is completely fine as the more important notices should be going there and you might not want random threads to clog up that section.
Potentially also create few other sub-sections, depending of the interest for them, perhaps for artistic stuff such as video-editing, photo-manipulation, screenshots, and alike. One for asking help or such, though a general section would most likely be enough for that. There could even be a section for other games, where people could discuss of other titles that they are interested in. Separated from the general which is more of FFXIV related things than anything else. You can always expand it to any which direction there's need and interested. Section for raiding, crafting, gathering, foods & drinks. (Well maybe the cooking tips may be bit too general and go away from FFXIV but it's an option to go for always).
After that it's just advertising this everywhere and trying to get people involved. Recommending that people come over here instead of Facebook to share screenshots, or to ask if people are interested to do something. Trying to make it a habit of checking it out when you log in or every so often.
P.s. You can also copy this to some other thread that you create if it makes it easier to manage and handle than having it in the News section. Feels so great to actually type into a forum than on Facebook, especially the longer texts
